Library cards are free to all Loudoun County residents or anyone who attends school, works or owns property in Loudoun County. Residents of neighboring jurisdictions may also be eligible. Apply for a card in person at any branch or sign up online and get instant access to digital resources.
Visit the online catalog and log in to your account to reserve items and to manage your current loans, or ask a staff member for help. All library materials can be checked out for three weeks and will be automatically renewed up to three times (unless another customer is waiting), with the exception of DVDs (one week) and 7-Day Hot Pick books (one week, no renewals). Your library card PIN is your birthdate in a MMDDYY format. For example, July 4, 1976 would be 070476. If LCPL does not have your birthdate on file, your PIN has been set to 999999. You can change your PIN or set up an EZ login on your account page.

The are no fines for overdue items. Fees for lost items can be paid online by logging into your library account at catalog.library.loudoun.gov. Customers will be charged the replacement cost for lost or damaged items. Items are considered lost 21 days after the due date. Click here for complete borrowing information.
