Board of Trustees

Loudoun County Public Library operates under the direction of the Library Board of Trustees. Board members are appointed by the County’s Board of Supervisors. Board members work with the Library Director in the study, evaluation, and development of Library policies and long-range plans.

All meetings are on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the Rust Library in Leesburg unless noted.

EBSCO Read It!: Designed for middle and high school students and adults who have a basic foundation in English grammar and reading but need adapted reading material for a variety of subjects.

HelpNow: An all-in-one suite of tutoring services designed for students of any age, whether it’s tackling a tough homework problem, mastering a particular topic, or writing a paper. HelpNow services include expert academic tutoring and self-study tools to empower users to study at their own pace or collaborate with peers and teachers. A full-service test center offers practice tests for all levels in math, reading, and writing as well as college preparatory tests — including the SAT.  Live tutoring is available seven days a week from 2 to 11 p.m.

JLG Digital: The Junior Library Guild collection features eBooks for preK-12 students with a focus on non-fiction content, which can be filtered by grade, language (English or Spanish) or product type.

Just for Kids Streaming Video Collection: This collection from Infobase includes clips from thousands of fun and informative video and audio titles on topics including music and arts, animals, sports and hobbies, math and science, history, reading, plus hundreds of educational interactives—kid-safe, ad-free, and perfect for children's programs.

Support the Library

Most branches have either an Advisory Board or a Friends Group. Please refer to the library's Friends of the Library and Advisory Groups Policy for more information.

Many branches accept donations before their annual book sales. Contact your branch for donation periods. The Loudoun Library Foundation also accepts donations for its annual Giant Used Book Sale in June.
